She was predeceased by: her husband Lorne Shahan; her grandson Stephen; and her siblings, Emery, Bill, Herman and Mildred Place.

She is survived by: her children, Unita Gould (Don), Dorothy Scharf (Brian) and Ed Shahan; her grandchildren, Melissa, Heather, Chris, Chantal and Jeffrey; her great grandchildren, Samantha, Brianna, Jesse, Kattie and Adele; her great great grandchild Brooklyn; and her sisters, Mary Cummings and Ruth Boisvenue. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
