Karl Preston Smith Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karl Preston Smith (Powassan, Ontario), born in Englehart, Ontario, who passed away on January 24, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Karl Preston Smith to pay them a last tribute.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene (Van Mierlo) of North Bay; his children, Tammy Fergusson (late Lance) of North Bay, Tracy Morawski (Vic) of Corbeil, Karl Smith Jr. of Barrie and Kelly Meecham (Rob) of Astorville; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Kristin, Kayla, Kelsey, Tanner, Jessica, Mathew and Dawson. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Paul Funeral Home (531 Main St, Powassan, ON P0H1Z0). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Karl's memory to Nipissing Serenity Hospice (https://www.canadahelps.org) or the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, are suggested.
