He was predeceased by: his spouse Brunhilde "Bunny" Collins; his brothers, William (Bill), John and Vic; and his parents, Roger Collins and Catherine Collins (Gardner).

He is survived by: his children, James Collins (Bonnie), William Collins and Patricia Bowes (Mark); his grandchildren, Brody (Emily), Taylor and Kate; and his great grandchildren, Spencer, Owen, Calum, Joshua, Lucas and Matthew.

Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
