He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomson and Violet Thomson. He is survived by: his wife Diane Sharpe; his stepchildren, Jennifer Van Oosten (Dan) and Kevin Harris (Samantha); his grandchildren, Courtney Crown, Jenna Van Oosten (Drew), Kyla Harris and Kyle Harris; his siblings, Linda Romanick (Tom) and Pat Biggar (Ray); and his nieces and nephews, Christine (Steve), T. J. and Matthew (Adrianne).
