She was predeceased by: her husband Doug Thomson; her son Douglas Jr.; her great grandchild Madison; her parents, Fred Dowhan and Elsie Dowhan; and her siblings, Betty Millar (Bob), Jean Thompson (John), Marion Bennett (Roger), Leonard Dowhan (Janet), Barbra Dowhan, Joyce Swayze (Bruce) and Freda Willoughby (Ted).

She is survived by: her children, Allan Thomson (Donna), Tricia Crinklaw (John), Terry Thomson (Lacey), Cliff Thomson (Charleen) and Brad Thomson (Julie); and her siblings, Peggy Hyatt (Gord), Bill Dowhan (Irene), Helen Smith (Doug), Audrey Devlin (Don), Joan, Ed Hamilton, Patsy Everingham and Wayne Hall (Sharon). She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren.
