He was predeceased by: his child Bob (late Greg); his parents, James Barr and Edith Barr; and his siblings, Robert and Bernice.

He is survived by: his children, Earle, Diane Knutson (Miles), Keith Barr (Jackie) and Brian Barr (Mary); his grandchildren, Stephanie Jensen (Shane), Trevor Barr, Cameron Barr (Amber), Anja Knutson (Adam Skelton), Andrew Plaudis (Shawna Sanichar), Dylan Barr, Ashley Boudreau (Peter), Morgan Barr (Ian Smith) and Matthew Plaudis; his great grandchildren, Levi, Colten, Iris, Benjamin, Evelynn Barr, Abrianna Skelton, Annika, Leo Jensen, Abigail and Jericho Boudreau; and his siblings, Peter Barr (Eileen) and Bruce Barr (Judy).
