It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Dorthy Appleton of Port Perry, Ontario, who passed away on May 4, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Andy Appleton of Port Perry; her great grandchild Braden; and her sisters, Marie Malcolm and Barbara LeCain. She is survived by: her children, Dianne Davison of Port Perry, Ron Appleton of Port Perry and Janet (John Gauvin) of Woodstock; her grandchildren, Leanne (Clayton Wilson), Jenna (Russ Taylor), Laura (William Dowkes), Kim (Ryan Reeves), James Gauvin (Sam) and Jessica Gauvin; her great grandchildren, Dayton, Lincoln, Grayson, Katherine, Jack, Emerson, Abby and Memphis; and her siblings, Doreen Smith, Margaret Lee, Robert Hicks, Greta Smith and William Hicks. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, and extended family.
