He was predeceased by: his siblings, Emile Donnelly (Shirley), Patrick Donnelly (Rita), Maureen (Keith Fielding) and Leo Donnelly (Marie). He is survived by: his wife Sharron; his children, Adam Donnelly (Krista) of Whitby and Gene Donnelly (Melissa) of Courtice; his grandchildren, Grayson, Thomas and Reid; and his sister Roselyn (Jim Oliver).
