She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald Hooey; and her siblings, Joan Morris, Bernice Barron, Jack Dietsch and George Dietsch.

She is survived by: her children, Susan Johnstone (Keith Baldry) of Coboconk, Christine (Bruno Trillard) of Campbellford, Cathy (Jean Pierre Rezard) of Wouves, French West Indies and Peter Johnstone (Valerie) of Oshawa; her grandchildren, Corey, Amanda, Rachel, Oliver, Amy, Nick, Rebecca and Meghan; her great grandchild Ethan; and her sister Helen Young of Pickering.
