We are sad to announce that on December 17, 2023 we had to say goodbye to John McPherson Scott of Port Perry, Ontario, born in Hollywood, California. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Gibbons; his son Gordon; and his siblings, Ross, Allan and Doris Scott.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Taylor, Sarah, Katheryn Churchill (Sandy), Geoffrey, Sophie Scott Alexandra (Gordon), Hailey, Evan Scott (John), Nathan and Hannah Scott (Robert); and his great grandchildren, Theo and Phoebe Spohn.
If desired, memorial donations may be kindly made to the Nimsdai Foundation's Big Mountain Clean Up, which – true to John's love of hiking and the environment – works to combat the global climate crisis by cleaning up waste in Big Mountain communities such as Nepal, where John himself climbed.
