He was predeceased by: his brother Brian James (Carol); and his parents, Stanley and Edith. He is survived by: his wife Dianne James; his children, Corrina Birnbaum (Eric) and Melanie Holloway (Greg); his grandchildren, Rowan and Adina Birnbaum; and his sibling Marnie Smith (Glen). He is also survived by his extended family and friends.

In lieu of a funeral, a celebration of life will take place on Bill's birthday (December 6), COVID-permitting.
