He was predeceased by: his father Ray Armitage; and his sister Jane MacDonald (late Bert). He is survived by: his significant other Barbie LeBlanc; his sisters, MaryAnn Maye (Terry) and Karen Clugston (Rick); and his siblings-in-law, Jeff (Dawn), Benjie (Dianne), Frank (Cathy), Earla (Jeff) and Marj (Clarence). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, extended family, friends.
In place of flowers, the family kindly requests that charitable donations be made in Garnet's name to Friends Outreach Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
