It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Mae Gilmer of Port Hope, Ontario, born in Newtonville, Ontario, who passed away on March 13, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Jim Gilmer; her children, Karen, Carm Trizzino, Jeff, Cyndi Gilmer, Lynn and Ken Swales; and her grandchildren, Ashley Holden (Joe), Kara Marshall (Chris), Chris Gilmer (Keely Jacox), Dave Trizzino (Marianne Kennedy), Nathaniel Swales, Brian Gilmer (Amy), Carsson Swales and Jennifer Gilmer (Ken Graham). She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations by cheque in Dorothy's memory are welcome to Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation or Port Hope United Church general fund.
