He was predeceased by: his parents, Laidlaw Hammell and Violet Hammell. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Neilson; his son Cliff (Sarah) of Puslinch; his stepsons, Patrick Finch (Jen) of Kitchener and Gregory Finch (Amanda) of Kitchener; his grandchildren, Stuart, Annabelle, Abegail, William and Nathan; and his sister Diane of Florida.
