Linda and I introduced Mike to Louise, and their relationship grew into a wonderful family. I am so sorry for Louise, Joel, Sylvie & Selene, and of course Brent Malfait. My deepest condolences go out to all of Mike's family and dearest friends. Armand”

He stood out among his colleagues by winning the bike to work competition, showcasing his unwavering determination to ride 30 kilometers each day. It's difficult to express how much I miss his clever sense of humor and the way his infectious smile brightened up our days. Rest in peace, my dear brother.     Eyob”

Catherine Wilbur wrote a sympathy message

“Mike was such a kind gentle soul. I worked with Mike for 30+ Years and we were like brother and sister and such close friends. When Mike and I were first working together we were sharing a cubicle. I went into the cubicle to fix the slip under my skirt. Mike walked in and he was so embarrassed. We have been such good friends over the years working on the Finance computer system together. We used to sometime drive each other crazy. Am going to really miss him. RIP my friend.”

“Lou and family, Mike was great friend for 40 years and we had many good times together. I will miss him terribly. Thursday night volleyball will never be the same. Mike had the most amazing memory and would always be able to recount things that happened in the past to a tee. I guess I will now have find a different source for my 60s and 70s TV trivia as well. My sincere condolences, Bob Johnstone and family”
