He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bert Toby and Hendrika Timmer; his wife Gerda Millenaar Toby; his children, Nienke Smith (Kevin), Jennifer Toby (Francois Auclair), Bart Toby (Keri Aitken-Toby) and Nick Toby; his grandchildren, Molly (Clay), Ben (Ania), Tim Smith, Alexander, Jessica, Peter Kotzeff, William and Jakob Toby; and his siblings, Gientje Brandsma Toby, Bert of The Netherlands and Lodewijk of The Netherlands. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
