He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy; his son John; and his brothers, Jack (Shirley), Bud (Lou) and Max.

He is survived by: his sons, Rick (Rosemary), Greg and Brad; his grandchildren, Eric, Beth (Davis), Martin, Isabelle (Tevin), Haley and Evan (Dana); and his sisters, Margie (Bruce Fleming) and Bonnie (late Denny Morrison).

Memorial donations to the CNIB would be appreciated by the family.
