It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Cooper (Port Elgin, Ontario), who passed away on October 13, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his spouse Jean Overholt-Cooper; his parents, Hubert Cooper and Bernice Cooper of Exeter; and his siblings, Frank Cooper and Glenn Cooper.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy (Al McCarrel) of Port Elgin, Kim (Murray McCarrel) of Southampton and Jamie Overholt (Liz) of Goderich; his grandchildren, Jesse Cooper (Jolene), Kara Trelford (Shaun), Lisa Ransome (Derek), Meagan Hooey (Chris) and Michelle McCarrel (Kris); and his siblings, Eileen Plyley (Dennis) of London and Ross Cooper (Shirley) of Woodstock.
A celebration of his life will be held post COVID.
Memorial donations may be made to the Huron Shores Hospice as expressions of sympathy.
