He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Marguerite; his daughter Shelly; his siblings, Virginia, Joanne and Jack; and his brother-in-law Michael.

He is survived by: his wife Marie Voelzing; his children, Laura (Dave), Jeff (Christine), Dale (Christina), Jodi (Malcolm) and Cory; his grandchildren, Tyler, Carly, Gabriel, Brydon, Joshua, Sheli, Matthew, Emily, Cody and Kyle; and his sister Dolly. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
