She was predeceased by: her spouse Douglas McPherson; her mother Mary Groves; her stepfather George "Lefty" Groves; and her father John Shoemaker. She is survived by: her children, Jill (Dennis Galley) of Port Elgin, Jack (Joanne) of Wingham and Laurie (Roy Brown) of Port Elgin; her grandchildren, Dennis (Lynne), Michael (Sue), Kevin (Angie), Dan, Scott (Angela), Kent (Val), Emma and Megan; and her sister Diane Unruh (Fred).
