He was predeceased by: his wife Veronica "Ronnie"; his siblings, Len Slaman, Corrie Tromp (Case) and Bill Slaman; and his brother-in-law Len Hughes.

He is survived by: his daughters, Margaret Law (Andy) and Tania Hughes (James); his grandchildren, Alex, Victoria Hughes and Kirsty Law; his siblings, John Slaman (Celia), Marg Hughes, Nellie Kruis (Ed), Ted Slaman, Ann Duwyn and Joe Slaman (Dianne); and his sisters-in-law, Toni Slaman and Olivia Hays.
