He was predeceased by: his parents, James Derek O'Brien and Joyce Elaine Fleming. He is survived by: his wife Denise; his children, Kerry Scrivens (Christopher), Shea O'Brien (Kathleen) and Riley O'Brien; his stepsons, Adam and Brett King; his sibling Terry O'Brien (Veronica); and his sisters-in-law, Debbie McYip (Brian) and Cheryl Parr (Billie).

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions all services will be private, cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
