She was predeceased by: her husband Douglas Penwarden; her parents, Arthur Murphy and Vivian Murphy; and her brother Tom Murphy. She is survived by: her children, Lesley Penwarden (Paul), John Penwarden (Iona), Nancy Penwarden (Rick) and Tom Penwarden (Karen). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the The Gathering Place (219 King St, Port Colborne, ON L3K3E8).
