Tony Knox Obituary

It's with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald (Tony) Knox in his 84th year at the Welland Hospital on Friday January 28, 2022. Treasured husband of Sharon Knox for 37 years. Proud father of Randy Knox, Cindy (Dan Lane), Laurie Scott , Winnie (Pat Ford), bonus dad to Penny (Bob Savard) and Donald Everett. His grandchildren and great grandchildren had a special reserved place in his heart. Predeceased by his son Ron Knox Jr. He was an avid sports fan and loved his adopted fur babies.

Tony enjoyed a career of 40 plus years as a Marine Engineer with Upper Lakes Shipping and was best known as the "Pope" to his Shipmates. His stories and his jokes will be missed by all who knew him. If you gave him a minute, he'd give you a story.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne.

Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Niagara SPCA and Humane Society or Animal Shelter of your choice. Online photos, memories, condolences and donations may be shared at http://www.armstrongfuneralhome.ca.
