She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Miniou; her parents, George Peterson and Elva Peterson (Brownell); and her brother-in-law Louis Miniou. She is survived by: her granddaughter Cathy Ann Rubocki (Paul); her children, Melissa Dixon (Warren), Mathew Rubocki, Alexander, Owen Dixon and Robert Miniou (Bonnie); her grandsons, Michael (Lauren) and James Miniou; her daughter Patricia Cavasin (David); her grandchildren, Zachary, Sybille and Lydia; her son Scott Miniou (Rose-Marie); her grandsons, Colin and Adam Miniou; her daughter Sherryl Miniou (Christopher Kendall); her grandchildren, Meaghan (Matthew) and Ryan Kendall; and her sisters-in-law, Ann Marie Lelay (Jean-Claude) and Darlene Miniou. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Port Colborne Marine & Historical Museum, or The Gathering Place (Presbyterian Church).
