He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto and Edith. He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his sons, Dave (Lynn), Kevin (Beth) and Tim (Barbara); his grandchildren, Jamie (Jordan), Matt (Alyssa), Mark (Thalia), Alyssa, Melissa Bessems (Josh), Lauren (Tyler), Chase Mountney (Dawn), Emma Mountney (Pavel) and Darragh Mountney; his great grandchildren, Gracie, Myles and Gage; and his sister-in-law Esther. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Port Colborne BIC Church, the Toronto Allstar Big Band, the Scott Mission, or a charity of one's choice.
