She was predeceased by: her parents, Muir McGowan and Mary Talbot; and her siblings, Pat Fyke and Bill McGowan. She is survived by: her husband Benjamin James Sanko; her children, Patti Reilly, Rick Sanko, Patti-Jo Goss-Sanko, Susan Sanko Donnelly and Terry Diakiw; her siblings, Bob McGowan (Karen), Linda Parsons (late Jim) and Sharon Fazarri (Frank); her sisters-in-law, Elvie Sanko (late Albert) and Ilona McGowan; her grandchildren, Brian, Marci, David Sanko (Tiffany), Barbie Goss, Rebecca McQuiggan (Christoper Clow), Brogen Diakiw and Reilly Morris; and her great grandchildren, Cori, Brooklyn Sanko, Anthony Gagnon, Hailey Sanko, Joshua, Isaac, Liam McQuiggan, Benjamin Clow, Whitney Goss and Caleb Diakiw.
Due to Covid-19, a private family service will be held at the Davidson Funeral Home, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on, Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 11:00 a. m. with Father Peter Walton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
