She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Thomson and Florence Thomson; her former husband Douglas Smyth; her husband John Phillips; and her son Brian Smyth.

She is survived by: her sons, Jeffrey Smyth (Bonnie) and Chris Smyth; her grandchildren, Sheena, Doug (Becky) and Ashley; her great grandchildren, Xander, Ty, Liam, Carson and Tripp; and her siblings, Barry Thomson (Stephanie) and Brenda Whiting (David). She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
