He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia; his son Michael Shanahan; his sisters, Pat Patterson (Francis) and Rita Page (Ray); and his sisters-in-law, Alice Dajka (Stephen) and Ellen Roesch (Thomas). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
