He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Muise and June Muise; and his sister Janie Muise. He is survived by: his wife Lise Muise; his children, Herb Jr. and Terry Muise; his siblings, Bill Muise, Mike (Robin), Theresa (Betty), Colleen (Gilles), Lori (Katlyn) and Lisa (Lee); and his siblings-in-law, Lucien, Michael, Louise (John), Diane, Suzanne (Louis) and Ginette (Gary). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
