He was predeceased by: his wife Pierrette. He is survived by: his children, Patrick (Mariann O'Brien) and Sacha (Marie-Josée Cadieux); his grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, Alexi and Kaya; his siblings, Paul, Edmond, Jacques and Jacqueline Martel; and his sisters-in-law, Colette Wrinn (John) and Denise Christianson (late Don).
