He was predeceased by: his parents, Murray Thompson and Ellen Thompson; and his brothers, Howard and William. He is survived by: his brother Gordon (Margaret); his nephew David (Kate); his great-nieces, Shauna and Kennedy; and his friend Dennis Sharp.

Due to COVID restrictions, there will be a private family Funeral Service in the Armstrong Chapel and interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
