He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Gaverluk and Elizabeth Gaverluk; his cousins, Sharon, Nadine and Brian; his aunt Marg; and his uncle Johnny.

He is survived by: his sisters, Sandra (Sam) and Virginia; his nieces, Angie and Renee; his cousins, Gary, Barb, Krista and Leslie; and his friend Laura.
