He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Stere and Ida Stere (Gerber); his siblings, Verle, Neil and Ruthann (Bob Miller); and his nephews, Trevor and Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Stere (Smith); his children, Donna Stere of Brantford, Marvin (Marilee) of Plattsville, Ronda Kuntze (Neil Bricker) of Tavistock and Kelly Roth (Dave) of Tavistock; his grandchildren, Dee Mosburger (Ashley), Amber Stere, Brittany Hartfiel (Steve) and Karlee Roth (Jonny Kirwin); his great grandchildren, Cole, Dessy, Jase Mosburger, Ben, Luke and Ella Hartfiel; his nieces and nephews, Dale, Russ, Pamela, Jeff, Jim and Jody; his stepsons, Troy (Michelle), Brad (Dawn) and Shane Bernhardt; his stepgrandchildren, Carly, Ryan, Jordan, Nicole (Pavel), Chase (Bailee) and Lucas Bernhardt; his stepgreat-grandson Mason Bernhardt; his sister-in-law Ina Seyler (Jim); and also, Raymond Smith (Hilda), David Smith (Carolyn) and Valerie Smith.
