It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Arthur Goddard (Plattsville, Ontario), who passed away on December 9, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Rod Hawes; and his brothers-in-law, Ron Moquin and Stuart Shearer. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Shearer; his sisters, Margaret Moquin, Carol Barrett (Wayne) and Virginia Gruen (Peter Woolley); his nephews, Brad Bechtel (Joanne) and David Bechtel (Wendy); and his niece Jane Robb (Scott).
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Glendinning Funeral Home (40 William St N, Plattsville, ON N0J1S0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Peace United Church (20 Samuel St, Plattsville, ON N0J1S0).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army Christmas Fund or the Plattsville & District Heritage Society - Museum Fund and would be appreciated by the family.
