She was predeceased by: her husband Cecil Hess; her parents, James Smith and Ethel Smith (Richardson); her sister Phyllis (Bill Dawes); and her sister-in-law Fran Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Cleveland (Karin) of Tobermory, Graham of Woodstock, Marian (Greg Baron) of Kitchener, Norma of Kitchener and Gord of Plattsville; her grandson Ben; and her siblings, Douglas Smith of Stoneboro, Pennsylvania and Jim. She is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation (cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the family.
