He was predeceased by: his parents, John Varty and Doris Varty; his brother Harvey; and his wife Ann Varty. He is survived by: his children, David (Mariana) of Brighton and Christine Daly (Sean) of Brampton; and his grandchildren, Fiona, Dean, James, Saoirse and Carraig. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, relatives.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rushnell Funeral Homes - Picton (33 Main St W, Picton, ON K0K2T0).

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Trent Valley Lodge Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family.
