She was predeceased by: her husband Hans; her parents, Adrianus Meer and Dymphina Van Meer; and her siblings, Karl, Leo, Carl, Victor, Alloys, Adriana Nijssen, Maria Wasilewski and Nell Van Meer.

She is survived by: her children, Tom, Mary Van Leeuwen, Lauren, Rob, Benjamin, Heather, Bennett, Millie, Claire, Tim, Riley, Mark, Brittany, Bridget, Jennifer Mai, Danielle, Thomas, Paul, Maureen, Martha, Michael Van Leeuwen, Michal Freedhoff, Mary Lynn Van Leeuwen, Ann and Larry Huibers (Jenna); and her sister Wilhelmina. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Rd, Ajax, ON L1T2Z7). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church (796 Eyer Dr, Pickering, ON L1W3C2). A reception was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Christ the King Cemetery (7770 Steeles Ave E, Markham, ON L6B1A8).
