He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Spearman and Grace Spearman; his siblings, Stephen (Wonder) and Sandra (Len Higgins); and his brother-in-law Bernie Keller.

He is survived by: his wife Jackie; his siblings, Sue Ward, Michael (Janine Spearman), Shelley Keller (Morgan) and Dave (Angie Spearman); and his nephews, Kevin, Shawn, Daniel, Jeffrey and Eric.
