He was predeceased by: his child Theresa Prisner (Ralph Iontosca); his parents, Benjamin O'Donovan and Mary O'Donovan; and his siblings, Kathleen Garteshore (Al), Jack O'Donovan (Jean), Vince O'Donovan and Sheila Cavarini (Joe).

He is survived by: his spouse Eileen; his children, Kathleen Brooks (Ron), Brenda O'Donovan (Pat Walker), Michael O'Donovan (Alesia Stanford), Patrick O'Donovan, Nora O'Donovan (Alison MacMillan), Ron Brooks, Mary Brooks, Kari Brooks (Brian Shannon), Joe Brooks (Jenna Tessier), Shannon O'Donovan, Meghan O'Donovan, Erin Lepine (Duanne), Gavin McFarland and Derek Prisner; his great grandchildren, Bailey, Shannon, Brooke, Kristy VanMeenen, Maggie and Charlie Lepine; his brother Leo O'Donovan (Mary Jane); and his sibling-in-law Mary Lou O'Donovan. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
