It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hilda Leivo (Petrolia, Ontario), who passed away on January 31, 2019, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kalle Hautagankas and Tyyne Hautagankas (Rantala); her husband John; and her siblings, Aune, Paavo, Toivo, Fanny, Eero and Mauno.
She is survived by: her children, Liisa Boychuk (Andy), Maija Mackesy (Dennis), Eeva Miller (Bob) and Bill Leivo (Pat); her grandchildren, Melanie Cole (Craig), Scott Mackesy (Jennifer), Ken Mackesy (Carolyn), Wade Mackesy, Hilary Racher (Corey) and Davin Leivo (Menaka); her great grandchildren, Tyler Mackesy, Coulter Mackesy, Elliott Mackesy, Hannah Mackesy, Miles Racher and Erik Leivo; and her sister Laura.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Sarnia Lambton or to a charity of your choice in honour of Hilda.
