Vera Doreen Collins Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 10, 2024, at the age of 96, Vera Doreen Collins of Peterborough, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Leo Arthur Collins (Sam); her parents, John Clark Buchanan and Annie Maria McConnell; and her siblings, Elton Victor and Dorothy Irene.

She is survived by: her children, Janet McCullough (John), Dr. John Collins (Alison), David Collins and Julie Fulford (Steve); her grandchildren, Dr. Mark McCullough, Andrea Gibson (Grant), Chris Collins (Katherine Lapner), Heidi Collins, Russell Collins (Lesley Bodnar), Michael Fulford (Caitlin), Emily Fulford (Simon Child) and Alison Fulford; her great grandchildren, Lauren, Natalie, Grace, Chloe, Hayley, Aidan, Sarah, Ryan, Calvin, Leo and Mila; her brother-in-law Bill Gray; and also FaceTime.

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM and from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Duffus Funeral Home (431 George St S, Peterborough, ON K9J3E2). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Rosemount Memorial Gardens (2551 Whittington Dr, Peterborough, ON K9J0G5).
