He was predeceased by: his parents, Birdie O'Brien and Fred O'Brien; his sister Judy Welch; his parents-in-law, Shirley and Charles Stemp; and his sister-in-law Susan Spinks.

He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Kathy Berberich (Steve) and Greg O'Brien (Emma); his grandchildren, Emily, Gavin, Graeme and Eleanor; his siblings, Mike (Faye), Donnie (Carol) and Joanne Grant (Rod); and his siblings-in-law, Charlene Isaac (Les) and Charles Stemp (Donna).

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice Peterborough would be appreciated.
