She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard Stephen Sumak; and her siblings, Reg Paul (Zenia), Ray Paul (Marie) and Phyllis O'Connor (Clarence). She is survived by: her children, Bob Sumak (Doree) of Oakville, Barbara Wojceik (John) of Peterborough and Patricia Knecht (Bill) of Calgary; her grandchildren, Marion Danko (Marc), Gary Sumak (Kendra), Kevin Straus (Amanda), Brandon Hare, Stephanie Dodds and Jacqueline Dodds; and her great grandchildren, Sienna, Ella, Jonah, Ben, Nora, Amber, Gavin, Caliah and Kayden.
In memory of Ruth donations may be made to the PRHC Foundation or the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund.
