He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Martin; his friend Vida Martin; his children, Kim Fitzgerald (Blair), Sheila Martin (Dan), Denise Martin (Paul), Dennis Martin and Jeremy Playter; his grandchildren, Justine (Dave), Kara, Hailey, Shane, Emily and Eleanor; his great grandchild Quinn; and his siblings, Wayne (Mary), Brian (Kathy), Dan (Dorothy) and Maggie (Sid).

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Nisbett Funeral Home (600 Monaghan Rd, Peterborough, ON K9J5H9). A reception was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM and from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM. A burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Rosemount Memorial Gardens (2551 Whittington Dr, Peterborough, ON K9J0G5).
