He is survived by: his spouse Rose; his children, Debbie Allison, James Bates (Susan) and Mary Frances Bates (Douglas); his grandchildren, Laura (Steven), Jessica, Suzanne, Michelle, Kristen, Nicole, Emily, Sean, Ryan, Matthew and Kaitlyn; his great grandchildren, Camden and Chase; and his siblings-in-law, Lina Cormier, Berthide Larocque, Irene Boudreau, Sylva Duguay and Levis Duguay.
