He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Paterson; his siblings, Max and Joan Lye; and his son Larry. He is survived by: his children, David (Kathy), Bruce (Tammy) and Barb; and his grandchildren, Joseph, Jason, Jamie (Matt), Jennifer, Jessica and Jaclyn.

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions a private family service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, 99 Brock Street on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 11:00 am.
