She was predeceased by: her husband Bill Peltz; her siblings-in-law, Robert (Gertrude), Ronald, James and Marlene (Jack); and her parents, Harrison Carter and Hannah Linton.

She is survived by: her children, Lauren (Mike Milburn) of Peterborough and Jennifer Koutny of Oakville; her grandchildren, Shelley Pauze (Troy) of Port Severn and Jonathan Monaghan (Trish) of Guelph; her great grandchildren, Jayce, Jared, Remington and River; and her sister-in-law Suzanne Erstling of Peterborough.

In memory of Ruth, donations to the Heart & Stroke Society or Northminster United Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
