Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Lionel Paul Hempstead (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away at the age of 85, on September 4, 2020. He was predeceased by: his brother Howard (late Barb). He is survived by: his spouse Shirley; his children, Janice Hempstead (Chris Crowe), Wendy Lance (Kevin Crowe) and Shannon Hempstead-Leckie (Jody Hinze); his great grandchildren, Toby and Ember; and his sister Helen Hoerig (late Fred). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.

In keeping with Butch's wishes a cremation will take place and a Celebration of his Life will be announced at a later date when COVID-19 restrictions have been eased.
