He was predeceased by: his father Ronald Masson; and his brother Ronald Gary Thornton. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Ruth (Allen); his children, Brooke Rea (Kris) of Guelph, Christine of Toronto and Jessica (Tanya) of Toronto; his mother J. Marie Thornton (Manning); and his sister Barbara Marie.
